Cosmetics in general are expensive, and when you include the products you need to remove the make up at the end of the day, the cost seems even more daunting. While you can spend the money, time and effort it takes to use products specifically designed for removing make up, there are some everyday household items that will surely do the trick.
Take it from a competitive dancer (who has worn enough make up in competitions to last the rest of her life), make up removal is not fun. Especially on those nights when you're just coming back from a competition! On a night when you just want to hit the bed, try removing your make up with baby wipes! While it doesn't remove absolutely EVERYTHING, it's a quick way to get the majority of the products without scrubbing your face off. If you are going to use baby wipes:
Washing your face after using baby wipes is important. Baby wipes leave a very slight oily residue that you should try to remove from your face as soon as possible. Baby wipes also aren't 100% effective, in that they don't remove ALL of your makeup. By washing your face after, you are sure to remove everything, keeping your face clean and less likely to break out.

Baby oil also works for removing eye make up, however the oily residue the baby oil leaves is much thicker than both vaseline and baby wipes. If you are going to use baby oil to remove your make up, you MUST wash the residue off. If you don't break outs (and styes) can result. To use baby oil:
If you remove your make up each night following one of these methods, you will not need to wash your face in the morning. In fact, doing so can dry your skin and cause break outs. If you have particularly oily skin, remove excess oil in the morning using lukewarm/warm water.
