Choosing the Right Colours for your Skintone

Vasanti's Skin Tone Recommendations

Makeup is meant to enhance each women's inner beauty. Therefore, each woman has different demands when it comes to makeup. For instance, each facial complexion and skin tone will require a different color palette. To follow are some recommended formulations for various skin tones.

Face Base

Fair/Medium-Fair Skin Tone: Fair Complexions: V1/V2
Medium Complexions: V3/V4/V6
Medium Skin Tone: Medium Golden Complexions: V4/V6
Medium Deep Complexions: V8/V10
Dark Skin Tone: Deep Golden Complexions: V12/V13

Concealer

Fair/Medium-Fair Skin Tone: Y2: Counteracts redness/purple tones under the eyes
Medium Skin Tone: O2: Counteracts brown or dark shadows under the eyes
Dark Skin Tone: Use liquid cover-up

Lipstick

Fair/Medium-Fair Skin Tone

Pinkish colours: France, Norway, Nepal.
Brown/Bronze Shades: Morocco, Italy, Columbia

Medium Skin Tone

Brown/Bronze Shades: Canada, Italy, Jordan.
Plum/Red Shades: Portugal, Chile, Spain
Combinations:

Italy with Madeira, or Colorado Lip Pencil with Norwegian (or Bali lip shine) on top.
Nepal with Colorado, Thames, Madeira or Nile Lip Pencil with Bali Lipshine on top.
Canada Lipstick with Madeira or Nile Lip Pencil with Bali or Norwegian Lipshine on top.

Dark Skin Tone

Combinations:

Fiji Lipstick with Tigris Lip Pencil and Bali Lipshine on top
Bahamas Lipbalm with Tigris Lip Pencil, and Bering or Norwegian Lipshine on top.
Chad Lipstick with Tigris Lip Pencil, and Bering Lipshine on top.
Russia Lipstick with Sabine or Tigris Lip Pencil, and Flores or Norwegian Lipshine on top.
St. Lucia, Columbia, or Grenada Tinted Lip Balm with Tigris (these colors are great for a natural look).

Medium Skin Tone: Flamingo Fire, Sand Dune
